Miriam was obviously a leader and entrepreneur follows the basket containing Moses as God took it to the area of pharaoh’s daughter. She went up and offered to find Moses a “nanny” and takes Moses to their mom.
The characters in the Bible like us had life issues yet sought to please God. Covenant leaders such as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob wives were Barren and their wombs were opened with prayer. Hannah was also barren and being barren was a social shame. Women at this time were judged by their ability to give children or most notably sons to their husbands.
We sometimes have no control over what happens to us, but God is watching and will take care of it.
Hagar was obedient to Goad and was blessed in the process.
We learn little through our blessings but much more through suffering. Most of the productivity of the Work of God happens through average unimpressive people like Leah. The kingship, priesthood and Messiah came through Leah.
Asneth was the daughter of one of the religious leaders. She was told that she was to marry an ex-convict who was imprisoned for rape. She was given to marry Joseph probably for poliical reasons. Her dad was a ruling priest for the sun god Ra. Joseph was a man of integrity and imprisoned but due to being falsely accused. The marriage was blessed by both Pharaoh and by God.
