JUSTICE SERIES

JUSTICE

Is 59:14
• Our God cares a lot about justice.
• When God sent prophets it was always concerning justice.
• Justice is a big deal because we have trouble knowing truth
• If you don't have truth, we can't operate justly.

JUSTICE IMPERATIVES

Micah 6:8
• Humans do not have perfect justice because we do not see all of the facts and intentions.
• Since none of us have perfect justice, we should not judge other's opinions of justice.
• We should only have opinions of what we know as happened & not what we think.
• Acting on something without knowing all the facts is unjust.

JUSTICE, PART 4

Deut. 19:14
• Justice is very important to God.
• Calvary shows that God didn't simply sweep sin under the rug, but instead paid the price for sin.
• In our society, we do not vote on the law, but instead we vote for judges & lawmaker.
• All who have adult children need to stay out of their business because jurisdiction matters.
• We are given an area of jurisdiction and shouldn't get involved in judging another's jurisdiction.

JUSTICE, PART 5

Matthews 7
• There is proper interpretation of Scripture
• When students of Scripture take Scripture out of context, error usually follows.
• There are several types of parables
1. Parables of nature
2. Parables of open or closed door
3. Parables of the lost and found
4. Parables of work & wages (largest category)

JUSTICE, PART 6

 Rom. 1:21-32
• It is not uncommon for a church to preach against sin.
• The Good News (The Gospel) is that Jesus Christ paid the price for sin.
• God established the order for authority.
• Chaos is the enemy of order and peace.
• We should not judge something or someone that isn't our jurisdiction.

THE SEQUENCE OF JUSTICE

• It is testimony to God when we act justly.
• Before a judgment there must be a law
• Punishment cannot be retroactive.
• The law must be made known
• Punishment must be made known as part of the law
• The judge must not be partial

THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE

2 Tim 4:13-17
• The Lord uses mankind to administer justice on the earth.
• Adam was given a vocation by God, which gave him )))dignity.
• Justice has responsibility before, during and after.
• God does everything with order and justly.
• There is order within God's church.
• If you teach your children only mercy, you have taught that person a lie.
• How do we execute justice within our jurisdiction?
• Do not publicize it

MOCKING JUSTICE

1 Timothy 5:17-19
• Justice is often the most transgressed thing by people who are trying to walk with the Lord.
• Learning and teaching about justice can and usually humble us and shows our own transgressions of justice.
• The truth about two witnesses is that it took two witnesses to start an investigation of a matter, not to being judgment.
• We have erred when we have believed something about someone else when that information came from only one witness.
