To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…

Eccl. 3:1

I marvel at how eager I am to pack up the Spring/Summer décor in favor of the Fall; and how eager I am to finally pack up the snowman collection and ‘set Spring’ once more. And this has been repeated literally for decades. I am truly grateful for the change in seasons. Even if you’re not a fan of a particular time of year (like Summer, for me) you can take solace in the knowledge that it won’t last forever.

Come to mention it, that’s just like the ‘seasons’ we go through in life. Not all of them are to our liking, to be sure. In fact, God never said we wouldn’t have to go through them, but He promised to go through them with us.

Thank you, Jesus!

Prayer Focus: How can I do this life without you by my side, Lord? Just the knowledge of your presence is a comfort to me.
