When you drive around town, do you notice the interests and passions of the drivers around you? Maybe you can tell by the way they drive. Maybe they have decals or personalized license plates displaying their passions. What is your passion? Does it show?

My husband put a decal on my Honda Pilot. Right above Pilot he put "God is my." What I didn't expect about adding this to my vehicle, was the change I would feel toward my own driving habits. I have always believed I should be a Christian in every area of my life: at the grocery store, at work, in my home ... and, yes, even driving down the road. But now I am even more aware of it. Since the drivers around me may now be aware that I proclaim to be a Christian, I want that light to shine in the best way.

The phrase "Salt and Light - Matthew 5:13-16" is now on my front plate as well. Matthew 5:13-16 says, "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

Pray that you will be salt and light to everyone you see today: to everyone you text, email, or talk to. Shine! Be a light to the world around you. Let them see Jesus in you!
